AHD series hard disk conveyors contains all the technologies of wafer conveyor but offered at significantly lower price.

Included features are:

Built-in soft buffering control, smooth accel/decel profiling, adjustable speeds up to 400 mm/sec, and customizable internal control logic makes it perfect for both long distance transport and high density cassette buffering.  Software controllable stopping position and speed profile makes it ideal for machine I/O buffering.

Stratus has installed multiple cassette transport lines, I/O buffer for numerous process machines such as sputter and cleaner, and conveyor based cassette stocker system.

Class 1 Ultra-Clean: Virtually no measurable particle is generated down to 0.2 micron. Particle counter nozzle placed only 2" directly below a driving or idler roller while cassette passes up to 20 times per minutes.

Sophisticated programmable embedded controller:

"Networkable": Optional networking card that fits inside the conveyor frame allows external controller to override local embedded control and monitor status of all sensors and motors. This feature is extremely important for large transport system installation which is supervised by a host computer.

Robust and Reliable

Mechanical design was based on 100lb pay load hence grossly over-designed.  The controller offers all optically isolated I/Os that prevents controller failure by accidental misconnection or severe ESD. 

Easy Maintenance

Once cover is removed, internal arrangement offers easy access to all components inside for quick replacement. The controller card offers numerous diagnostic LEDs that help isolating a problem.

Its modular construction and standard length allows any failed (if it ever fails) component to be replaced very quickly.
